CARDIFF WALKING FOR HEALTH
Cardiff Walking for Health is a series of organised led walks throughout the city, designed to encourage Cardiff's residents to exercise more. The walks have been developed by walk leaders and other support staff. Walkers are advised to start gently for a few weeks and build up to something a little more testing when they are ready.
The walks are open to all with some being more suited to those with wheelchairs and pushchairs (please contact our Co-ordinator for further advice).
Regular walking at a brisk pace can help people feel better in many ways: It's friendly and sociable. It's free, frequent and fun. It can help you lose weight. It can help you improve your general health. It can help people get out and mix with other local people.
Wellbeing 4U also operate walks from Ely and Caerau Hub and the Grange Medical Practice on a Tuesday and a Thursday (respectively), offering two options, one of approximately 1 mile lasting 20 to 30 minutes and one of two miles lasting approximately 50 to 60 minutes. Further information about these walks can be found by calling United Welsh on 07939032015.
